40 Years of Getting IT Right

VLCM was founded as a company selling center-pivot irrigation systems to farmers by Rich Linton and his college roommate with limited funds but great ambitions. In 1982, IBM introduced their first personal computer to the market, and VLCM recognized the potential of this new technology for their business. They quickly became qualified dealers for IBM's personal computers and began selling and servicing them.

In 1983, Rich integrated IBM's technology into Snyder Irrigation, a significant milestone in VLCM's journey towards becoming a leader in the information technology industry. In 1985, Valcom Salt Lake City, LC (now VLCM) became a separate entity and continued to innovate and adapt to the rapidly changing technological landscape.
